UNDER DEFEAT is a military aspect and vertical shooting game where players will engage in frantic combat with a variety of strong combat helicopters. Here, the story happens after long warfare between the two factions-the Empire and the Federation-finally signing a ceasefire. But just before peace, new weapons and prototype machines are sent into battle, leading to an unexpected and dangerous final fight.
Four helicopters are available for players, each with weapons that strike flying and land foes. Each combat encounter is quick and demanding, as you need to aim carefully, avoid fire, and get up close for powerful blows. Battles feel real, with allies falling, intense explosions, and constant radio chatter from both sides. Game’s controls are simple but offer deep strategy as you progress through different missions.
There are multiple game modes, including “NEW ORDER,” “NEW ORDER+,” and “Arcade,” each with unique stage designs and rules. A Training mode lets you practice and record replays, while Online Rankings allow players to compete for the highest scores. A Gallery mode unlocks special artwork as you progress. There is also new music in the game in the form of a “BOOSTED” soundtrack by the original composer Shinji Hosoe, which makes battles even more fierce.
